50th Anniversary Can
Date: 2021
Client: Lake Anna Brewing Co.
Deliverables: Beer Can Label Design
Lake Anna Brewing Company hired me to design a beer label to celebrate Lake Anna’s 50th Anniversary. I used fun, organic shapes as the background of the can to mimic the movement of water. A local photographer’s photo is found on the inside of the ‘72 to help tie in the community the lake emits.
Oozlefinch Netfinch and Chill

Deliverables: Beer Can Label Design
This beer label design is a fictitious rendition of Oozlefinch’s Netfinch & Chill release. I wanted to illustrate a movie that was well known and offered a fun, exciting scene. For this reason, I went with Lord of the Rings, specifically the scene of Frodo and Sméagol fighting over the ring in the volcano.
The challenge was to create a scene that was detail oriented and intricate in design that wasn’t in-your-face obvious. I wanted to incorporate characters throughout the movie, but hide them in the illustration. Frodo is seen at the top of the can, laying on the mountain that has the helmet of Sauron built into the mountainside. From there, we see Sméagol (portrayed as an Oozlefinch) falling into the volcano, whose flame is depicted as one of the Fellbeast who was ridden by Sauron and his soldiers throughout the film. Finally, for the ring, instead of making it an actual ring I turned it into a beer can to add more dimension and movement to the scene. The can is labeled “My Precious”, which is what Sméagol calls the ring throughout the film.

Deliverables: Beer Can Label Design
The following three beer can designs are part of a fictitious company, Hop Shack Brewing. My goal with these designs was to bring ocean fantasy to life, allowing the drinker to immerse themselves into a new world while sipping on something worthy of making tastebuds dance.
Jaw Breaker is another name for sharks and seemed fitting for the Great White. This hazy IPA has notes of tangerine sweetness that is sure to send the tastebuds swimming all the way to the bottom of the can. The logo design behind the can was to tie in characteristics of the shark, featuring multiple fins and an easy flow from one letter to the next, just like the motion of sharks swimming.
Bottom Feeder is a full body brew as monstrous as the Loch Ness herself. You can try and lasso the flavor of this beer, but there is a complexity to the notes that just keep you coming back for more.
Stay Committed, Get Pitted is peeling with orange notes, giving it the ultimate citrus flavor. Committing to this orange Gose will leave you wanting more out of this perfect right point break.
